The meaning of the four states

The characteristics of the four states can be described for this subject area as follows:

dependent – Necessary exercises for emergencies are planned and carried out by the HSE department. Emergency procedures are adapted if necessary. Internal alarms are sent via the HSE department
independent – Internal alarms in emergencies are issued by a central emergency center via SMS and/or telephone, depending on the severity of the event. The management has been instructed in the internal emergency procedure. Specific local emergency drills are organized and conducted by supervisors
interdependent – In addition to “Independent”, extensive emergency exercises are regularly (at least once a year) carried out together with the clients. Small local work teams regularly and independently check the defined emergency measures
reactive – Specific exercises for emergencies are not carried out
