With this survey, the state of the safety culture in companies is to be surveyed. The survey is based on a random qualitative assessment of the safety culture by the participants. It is not an assessment of the state of safety culture based on a performed internal Safety Culture State Review.

What is to be achieved?

With the support of this survey, the participants assess the status of safety culture related to stages ‘dependent’, ‘independent’, ‘interdependent’ and ‘reactive’ as well as the transition stages. The meaning of the four states are described in detail here.

Furthermore, the safety performance in the company is assessed.

How is the survey conducted?

The survey is conducted using the online tool Airtable (http://www.airtable.com). Important note: No personal or company-related data is collected and saved. The participant has the option of providing his/her email address on a voluntary basis in order to be informed of the result of the survey via email.

When will the survey be conducted?

The survey will be conducted from May 5th to May 15th, 2022. The results will be published on this website from May 18, 2022.

What information is collected?

In the first section, statistical data is collected. These are: a) Country or Region, b) Industry, c) Number of employees in the company, d) Your role in the company, e) Data reference.

In the second section, Safety Culture related data is collected. These are: I. Rate the state of your companies Safety Culture, II. Rate the current incident performance of your company, III. Any Comments.

In addition, the participant can voluntarily enter his email address in order to be informed about the results of the survey via email.

Participating in the survey will take no more than 5 minutes of your time!
