How to get started ?
The core idea of the Safety Culture State Review is to develop a medium-term strategy for occupational safety by assessing the current state of a company’s safety culture. This approach aims to drive sustainable performance improvements and cultural transformation, particularly by reducing workplace accidents. To achieve this, the concept considers aspects that extend far beyond traditional occupational safety approaches.
To get started, a Safety Culture State Review Workshop should be initiated. This workshop aims to assess the maturity level of each of the 20 dimensions and, based on the findings, prioritize the dimensions and define specific tasks for continuous improvement.
Safety Culture State Review Workshop
Currently, four different workshop concepts have been developed and tested. The Compact SCSR workshop is designed to last four hours, involving 15 to 25 participants from across your organization. This format can be condensed to three hours if needed. Additionally, a comprehensive transformation workshop (SCSR Horizon) has been developed, extending to eight hours, covering transformation, leadership, and communication in greater depth.
The SCSR workshop is structured into four phases:
1️⃣ Introduction to cultural transformation
2️⃣ Assessment of the current safety culture maturity level
3️⃣ Presentation and discussion of the assessment results
4️⃣ Prioritization and idea generation for transformation
The SCSR workshop is fully interactive, ensuring active participation and engagement.
On this website, you will find everything you need to conduct a Safety Culture State Review. This includes a calculator (EasyCalc) for determining the Safety Culture State Review Index, as well as case studies that illustrate how the review is conducted and how a corresponding action plan is developed.
Choose from four flexible workshop formats—ranging from quick internal reviews to in-depth leadership sessions—to drive meaningful conversations and lasting safety culture improvements across your organization.
